For Study and Research in Nineteenth-Century Literature and Culture

The Centre for Romantic and Victorian Studies (CRVS) was launched in October 2013 with a lecture by Dr Stephen Cheeke entitled Transfiguration: Word and Image in the Nineteenth Century. As explained by the centre's director, Professor Andrew Bennett, the CRVS is designed to build on and foreground the enormous range of interest and expertise in nineteenth-century history, politics, and culture across the Faculty of Arts.
