Research interests

I am a social science researcher and my primary research interests are around the operation of healthcare rationing at the consultation level. I have a particular interest into the level of explicitness applied to rationing at this level and am currently working on an NIHR postdoctoral fellowship with the aim of developing an intervention to improve communication about rationing at this level. I aso have an interest in the lived experience of morbid obesity, the application of qualitative methods in trials, and the investigation of suicide and self harm.
