Tactile Action and Perception

Organisational unit: Research Grouping

Organisation profile

With experts from the University of Bristol's Schools of Experimental Psychology and Engineering Mathematics, the Tactile Action and Perception Group (Bristol TAP) uses a variety of experimental approaches to develop a detailed understanding of the way we perceive and use tactile information. This knowledge feeds directly into the design and engineering of a range of applications including assistive technologies for people with visual impairments, clinical tools for alleviating chronic pain syndrome, and advanced human computer interaction solutions.
