My doctoral research explores the flow of animal bodies which supplied the Victorian taxidermy trade, and focuses on concepts of animality, perceptions of 'realness' and movement. I am treating the taxidermied animal body as a constantly transforming entity, rather than as a static museum object.

This project is supported by the South West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership, and is co-supervised by Professor Peter Coates at the University of Bristol and Dr Bryony Onciul at the University of Exeter.

I am also the PGR Officer for the Centre For Environmental Humanities, and chair and organise the Environmental Humanities Reading Group.
