I graduated from Cardiff University in 2013 with a First in Chemistry. My final (Masters) year project focussed on the feasability of platinum/palladium alloys as potential catalysts for hydrogen fuel cells. I began my PhD with the University of Bristol's Atmospheric Chemistry Research Group that same year. During my studies, I used novel measurement techniques developed within the group to improve our understanding of national hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) emission trends. As part of this work I travelled to India for 2 months, where I was an instrument scientist aboard the FAAM research aircraft.

Upon successful completion of my PhD - and a short break to explore the Southern hemisphere - I began my current role as a Research Associate. I am interested in the use of statistical models to derive national emissions - much of this work has focussed on the measurements collected from India. India's halocarbon emissions are very poorly understood - our work is providing some of the first real insight into the magnitude and distribution of these emissions. Such work is vital if we are to provide a benchmark against which future growth can be compared.
