Research interests

I am a mathematical modeller with a background in biological sciences. I am particularly interested in epidemiology (animal, plant or human), economics and behaviour.

I am currently in the final year of my PhD, which has involved developing various models to support treatment decisions for psoroptic mange (sheep scab). Other research I have been involved with includes species distribution modelling of ticks in the UK, a meta-analysis exploring the effectiveness of essential oils against the root-knot nematode, costs of culicoides-borne arboviral diseases and risk mapping for avian influenza (the last two projects mentioned were undertaken during my PhD internship with DEFRA). I have also spent some time working with a NHS Commissioning Support Unit and Public Health England.
