Research interests

After a Ph.D. at the Paris School of Economics, I joined Bristol as a Vice-Chancellor's Fellow (post-doc).

My research interests encompass development, labour—with a particular emphasis on migration,—history, geography and urban economics. My current projects focus on West Africa (information asymmetry between Senegalese migrants and their households of origin) and China (effect of internal migration on firms at destination; long-term impact of a large industrialisation programme on the spatial allocation of economic activity; role of past land inequality on Cultural Revolution violence).

If you would like more details on my background and research, please have a look at my personal website!
