I am currently a senior research associate at the University of Bristol Medical Research Council Integrative Epidemiology Unit (MRC IEU), UK. In this role, I explore risk factors and potential intervention targets for chronic kidney disease progression. I completed my PhD, titled ‘New uses for old drugs: Investigating whether antihypertensives can be repurposed for the prevention of dementia’, at the University of Bristol, UK. During my PhD, I took a six-month secondment to work at GlaxoSmithKline plc to investigate the use of genetic evidence in target validation. Prior to my PhD, I completed an MMath degree in Mathematics at the University of Leicester, UK with a year abroad at the University at Buffalo, USA. My research interests include pharmacoepidemiology and instrumental variable analysis.
