Hong Kong History Project: Rethinking a City's History

StatusActive
Period1/01/15 → …

Description

The project, hosted at the University of Bristol, and funded by the Hatton Trust, encourages and facilitates the study of the history of Hong Kong in the UK, and builds collaborations with partners in Hong Kong, specifically in terms of collaboration between the University of Bristol and the University of Hong Kong, as well as other interested HEI and community/NGO partners. A diverse cohort of graduate students is researching a range of new or understudied topics in the history of Hong Kong. The former British colony is explored as a site of multi-national and transnational phenomenon, and as a territory intimately embedded in global, regional and imperial networks.
